Baguio City bills itself as the “cleanest city in the Philippines,” yet Puerto Princesa has been declared the cleanest city in the Philippines for many years.
In 2001, the World Bank published a study finding Baguio City to be the “most polluted city” among five cities in the Philippines, based on air samples collected at Session Road. The city’s air reportedly had 75.2 micrograms of particles per cubic meter, Metro Manila had 65.8, Cebu City had 45 and Davao City had 39.8 mcg/cm.
