post office box 431 - Baguio City -  2600 - Philippines

I don’t recommend using the United States Postal Service to send mail to the Philippine Postal Corporation, because PhilPost is notoriously slow, and mail disappears. I advise sending parcels via UPS, FedEx, LBC or balikbayan box.

from Dominic and Brian:

.

I thank Shannon for donating $25 for books for Baguio Gold Elementary School’s library. I thank Shannon for assistance with mission trips, for donating things to take to our poor brethren, for reading the weblog and for suggesting  the “home page” button for the website.

.

Thanks to my mother for mailing another ‘care package’ for me and the poor today. ~ Brian

.

Thanks to Lee Robinson for $10, Anna Shaw for $12, Lisa Edwards for $7 and JoAnn Porter for $40 in August. A total of $82 was deposited on August 12. This pays for 12-year-old Nikko’s Taekwondo training for self-defense, mental discipline, self-confidence and physical fitness.

.

Thanks to JoAnn Porter for depositing $80 for the poor in July!

.

I thank Jill in Brandon for encouragement, prayer, correspondence and a care package for the poor of Baguio Gold, including handmade Holy Rosaries.

.

Thanks to Liz H. of Saint Stephen Parish - a steadfast prayer warrior- for praying daily, verbal encouragement, correspondence and a care package for us and the poor of Baguio Gold.

.

Thanks to the Gellers for depositing $200 at Wachovia for medical needs, student supplies and fresh water barrels for the A-V-A-C family of Baguio Gold, for a June ‘care package’ full of clothes, toys, kitchen aids and other supplies for the family, for cash for emergency use, for a 1gb Compact Flash card for photography, for prayer and for encouragement.

.

We thank Joyce and Quin in Lynn Haven for donating $50 in June!

.

.

Thanks to Nancy Slade of Saint Stephen Parish who kindly gave the first donation for serving our poor sisters and brothers: $100!

.

I am grateful for the generosity of Rev. David and Ms. Vicki Helms for the second donation I received for our work: $50!

.

Camillo, thank you for the fast, powerful personal computer and monitor which you kindly donated. This thing “cooks with Crisco.” (Dom)

.

(Dom) I thank Smokey for his example that he has set for us to emulate. What we are trying to do he has already done. Smokey has been my spiritual adviser, role model, and closest friend. Smokey’s generosity has taken a guy who was lost, broken, confused and at the end of his rope, and turned me around so that I now can help someone in a bad way. There hasn’t been a more important person in my adult life. It’s possible that I may not have be around at all to do this mission. Thanks to Barbara for putting up with my sloppy mess, too.

.

I thank Captain Judd for keeping those who’re not on the Internet informed of what we’re doing. Thanks, Judd! This is a huge help to others. We pray that you recover from the flood last February. That was nasty luck for such a nice guy. “And may your transmission fall out of your truck on route 98.” I want my truck back now that you have fixed it.

.

Thanks to my parents for all the encouragement and best wishes they have passed on to me and Brian. Thanks, too, for the kind words from my aunt and cousin who left messages on the web site. A side note: I think the sentiments at Uncle George’s funeral were absolutely incredible. Uncle George took me to a Bruins game when I was a kid. I never forgot that.

.

We thank Nelly for encouragement, advice, a farewell party, donations (dollars & pesos!) and prayer. Thanks Nelly for thinking of us. You got something in your “teeeet,” Nelly. Come on a pack it up and get over here. You still got something in your teeeeet.

.

We thank Lisa Edwards for encouraging, praying advising and collecting donatons. Lisa, you have been one of my biggest inspiration. You guidance has been greatly appreciated! We miss Davone and Robert very much. I miss my Godchildren. We are looking forward to seeing Lisa in the Philippines. I would be in my glory to see that. We miss you, Lisa!

.

Thanks to George and Ceci for a farewell, donations and prayer support! Thanks, Ceci, for your high spirit. George, thanks for your donation. And tell your dad that his words and your words helped me through a very bad night here. Your words were worth a lot at that moment! Brian was as cool as a cucumber...

.

Thank you, Evic for a farewell party, a donation, encouragement and prayer. We’re grateful for coffee and tea in Bay County airport at 5 a.m.! Yeah, Evic, thanks for coming to the airport to see us off. Keep smiling.

.

Someone keep an eye out to see if my chick, Ann, is cheating on me while I’m gone.

.

We thank Chef Sandy for advice, encouragement, a donation and prayer. We hope you all are helping her in the kitchen. We miss ‘Sandy’s Country Club’ and her hospitality and good cooking.

.

We thank ‘good time Danny’ for prayer support, encouragement, a donation and an early morning send-off at the airport! Thanks Dan, your in-flight snacks came in handy when we were starved and would have had nothing to eat! I miss Dan’s good times. You make me laugh, Dan. Just looking at you grinning cracked me up. Thanks, too, for donating for me to go to the Fil-Am.

.

We thank Ate Clarita for her kind words, dee-licious food at the parties, prayer support and a donation. We miss Clarita for her very clever wit, too. “Look! He’s trying to get out!”

.

We’re grateful to our fun Korean friend Susanna for prayer support, her verbal encouragement and donation. Dom is fending for himself now that Susanna isn’t coming around with really nice food. Susanna has been very inspirational to us.

.

Thanks to Christine for her donation. Christine has been very uplifting for us for over a year now. How are the 2 kids doing, Christine? Need a good web developer? Check out Rodney’s work. We pray that your energy level is still very high.

.

Thanks to Dino and Cion Salaveria for their advice on the Philippines and a fond farewell.

.

We thank Irene, the Hitchcocks, Elouise, Ellen, Liza and Linda for donations and delicious covered dishes at Evic’s party and Nelly’s. Too bad we couldn’t karaoke at Evic’s. How are you doing Irene? We miss you.

.

Thanks, Terry (Tess) for words of encouragement and a donation. I miss you, Terry.

.

Thank you very much, Rita for your donation and coming to the airport to send us off. We expect to see you in Baguio City.

.

Thank you to Shonie, Carlotta, Big John of the kitchen and kind Karen! Big John! I really miss my buddy. John, check out the oil prices, and very soon you’ll see a big pop–trust me big guy; I know stuff. Shhhhhh! You were right about a lot of stuff. I hope you still are looking good and feeling good! You looked great when I left. We miss laughing with you, John. Say hi to Trish. Carlotta, you, too, got somethin’ in your teeeeeet.

.

We’re grateful to Potenciana and David for their encouraging words, donation and an Easter greeting card (given before we departed).

.

We miss Jackie S. and Bill, Hannah W. (sweetest heart), Leo and Irene, Ethel and her son, and of course, Efren who is good for a chuckle. Thanks, ‘Eef’ for bailing me out with your loaner car when I was in a jamb.
